SumoMorph ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data. The short version: almost nothing, because almost nothing reaches us.
All file processing — PDF, documents, spreadsheets, data, text and OCR — happens entirely within your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We never see them, never store them, and could not produce them if asked, because they never leave your device.
There is none. SumoMorph does not display advertising, does not use Google AdSense or any other ad network, and does not set advertising cookies. No third-party advertising or tracking script runs on this site. The site is funded by SumoMorph Desktop, a one-time purchase.
We use first-party, cookieless analytics to count page views and how often a tool is run. No cookies are set, no advertising or device identifier is collected, and no attempt is made to identify or profile you across visits. The data recorded is limited to the page path, the referring site, and a note that a conversion completed. Filenames and file contents are never included, because the code that would need them runs only on your device.
If you use the star-rating box on a tool page, we store the rating, any comment you type, and which tool it referred to. That is optional, and it contains only what you choose to write.
The paid desktop app converts files locally and does not upload them. When you activate a licence it contacts our licence server to validate your key; that exchange carries the licence key and an opaque, salted hash identifying the installation, and nothing about your files. The app works offline thereafter.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it.
